The Bremerton School District in Washington State unanimously approved the settlement, which would pay former coach Joseph Kennedy a substantial $1,775,000.
Kennedy has received clearance to return to Bremerton High School in 2023 as an assistant football coach.
Kennedy will get a $5,304 stipend for his work on the 2023 football season, according to a district statement.
