Pregnant Pit Bull ‘Refused’ To Give Birth When Foster Mom Saw Her Ultrasound
Chris and Mariesa have a deep love for dogs. They already had a dozen dogs but decided to add a few more to the family. Here’s the tale of how these affectionate dog parents encountered their 12th furry friend, Jackson.
Their trip to the shelter ended up being the lucky break one dog was waiting for. Storie, a pregnant dog, declined to give birth at the county kennel due to feeling uncomfortable with the shelter conditions.
Mariesa and Chris were in search of a dog to care for, one that they could bring home immediately and was nearing the end of her pregnancy. Upon spotting a small terrier at the shelter with a distended belly, they felt an instant connection.
During Storie’s visit to the vet for an ultrasound, they were shocked to discover that she was carrying 12 puppies. The couple swiftly started setting up a kennel in their home in anticipation of Storie going into labor in a few days.
Surprisingly, Storie went into labor that same night, only 18 hours after being rescued from the shelter. She was eagerly anticipating a caring environment to welcome her newborns!
Storie and the couple joyfully welcomed 12 adorable new puppies into the world. Chris and Mariesa had already chosen one puppy each to keep, while the others were put up for adoption.
Thanks to Pibbles and More Animal Rescue, all the puppies were able to find new loving homes with the couple’s help fostering Storie. We are thrilled that individuals like Chris and Mariesa are part of our world. We could use more individuals who adore dogs like them!
