My sister has betrayed our family and is asking for help. One condition, I told her.
Emily must decide between two difficult things. Though previously forbidden, her sister, whom she claims has caused strife in the family, has returned to request her portion of the fortune. Emily is unsure of her future steps and feels conflicted. She contacted us asking for assistance.
Emily is writing you now.
I received her portion of the inheritance when my sister fled with a person who worked for us and stole from our company. My dad died of a heart attack as a result. I vowed never to forgive her.
She needed “her” money, my sister claimed over the phone. Her son is seriously ill, she added, and they need the money for his pricey medical care.
The only way to get that money, I informed her, is to get divorced. Weeping, she warned me I was heartless and that I would harm her family.
What to do next escapes me. Help would be much valued.
Many thanks, Emily.
