Yellowstone Starts Filming the Last Episodes Before Its Scheduled November 2024 Return

Officially speaking, Yellowstone is back in business! The much awaited last episodes of the popular Western series are now in production, Paramount said on May 20. Fans might expect the resolution to come in November of 2024.

The stunning Montanan landscapes provide the setting for the eagerly anticipated filming. The second half of Season 5 was first scheduled to premiere in November 2023. But for viewers anxious to see the Dutton family story continue, the writers’ strike caused delays that made the wait longer.

Looking forward to the future chapters, the next episodes promise a lot of Dutton family drama. According to a Paramount announcement, we will see more of their battles in the midst of changing alliances, unexplained killings, and fresh changes in allegiances.

Being close to an Indian reservation, a burgeoning town, and the first national park in America makes life on the Dutton Ranch a constant struggle. The drama fans will continue to enjoy as the show highlights these tensions.

Although community responses have been rife, Paramount has not yet disclosed which cast members will return for the last episodes. Fans of the tenacious John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, are left wondering if he will play the part again.

There had been hints in recent stories of creative disputes between Costner and Taylor Sheridan, the series creator. A part of this split appears to have been Costner’s dedication to his own Western epic, Horizon. The actor recently said that although he is not currently working and hasn’t received scripts for the remaining episodes, he is open to returning if the circumstances and plot line work out.

During a Deadline interview, Costner reaffirmed his commitment to Yellowstone and denied rumors of divided loyalty. If the writing is good, he said, the show should either provide two outstanding seasons or end appropriately. He also voiced dissatisfaction at the Yellowstone team’s inability to refute spreading misinformation.

The January 2023 mid-season finale had fans on pins and needles. During the episode, Rip’s steadfast allegiance to Dutton Ranch was flashed back, John Dutton offered Monica and her family a place to reside, and Jamie Dutton and Beth got into a fierce argument.

Jamie had betrayed Beth, which caused a painful argument with him when he sought to have his father impeached as governor of Montana. The suspense for the last episodes has only grown with this cliffhanger.

Fans may currently maintain the thrill by watching the series on Peacock from anywhere in the world. Watch this space and don’t blink; the Dutton family will return to enthrall us shortly!
