They knew they had to act when a group of middle school chorus students from the Hingham Middle School Junior Choral Spectrum in Massachusetts learned their teacher was getting married.
Students wanted to honor Christopher Landis for all the hard work he puts in before he and his future husband, Joe, tie the knot.
Thinking about it, they came up with a surprise they were sure he wouldn’t soon forget. Their idea was hammered out over Landis’ wedding rehearsal breakfast. Boy, did that produce the intended result.
The youngsters first suddenly arrived at Landis’ practice and then launched into a beautiful performance of the Beatles’ hit song “All You Need Is Love.”
As it happened, they had practiced in secret every Sunday for a whole month in order to get it perfect for a man who deserved it.
Its best feature?
Basically, Landis is in bits from the time the children start to arrive until the singing ends. The tears quickly come, startled and humbled that a group of people would go to such tremendous measures for him.
The video by itself makes clear how much Landis loves “his kids,” as he calls them, and how much they love him back.
Apart from the emotions conveyed, this bunch of kids is really talented singers!
