It’s funny when a kid calls 911 and talks to the operator.
What do kids say that’s not funny? That’s one of the great things about having a child. All the time, they say something new that makes you laugh out loud.
Before they turn 10, you teach your child how to call 911. It’s something your child should learn, and you hope they remember it in a real situation. Kids have called 911 before when it wasn’t really an emergency, though.
There are many times when you read about kids calling 911. The operator isn’t always nice, and the child may get in trouble for calling.
This four-year-old boy named Johnny called because he really did need help with something that seemed like an emergency: he didn’t understand his math homework.
He thought this was an emergency! He was having a hard time because he couldn’t remember how to subtract numbers.
He was lucky that the operator was nice and understanding, and they even helped him with his chores.
You can hear his mom walk in and ask him who he is talking to while they are on the phone. He then tells them in a nice way that he called the cops because his mom told him to do that when he needed help with something.
When the mother finds out what her son did, she says, “What I taught him didn’t mean the police!” and the recording stops.
