NCIS: Los Angeles star Eric Christian Olsen wants to return for the cr1me franchise’s spin-off.
The actor played Marty Deeks, an LAPD detective turned NCIS investigator, in all 14 seasons of the CBS crime drama till its cancellation this year.
After NCIS: Los Angeles was canceled, Olsen requested that Marty appear in the upcoming NCIS: Sydney.
The franchise’s official social media platforms published a short teaser for the new spin-off, including Sydney’s beautiful weather and beaches to which Olsen added a snarky comment on Instagram.
The actor hinted that his character, Deeks, may transition to the NCIS universe, as he enjoys surfing and Oz has fantastic waves.

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said the series will have a “uniquely Australian twist,” adding, “This fascinating world has been a proven winner with viewers on both linear and streaming platforms.”
She said that the new series will feature Australia’s stunning scenery and the high-stakes intrigue, comedy, and friendship that have captivated NCIS viewers for over two decades.
